Rensil D’Silva’s latest and much awaited movie has been in the press for all the right reasons.  The right promotional bursts followed by a tinge of controversy thanks to the use of the much maligned middle finger.  Cutting the use of the dreaded finger twice got it a U/A certificate and a Friday morning reception that was slightly better than some big banner movies.

Revolver Rani

Anyone who refers to Revolver Rani as an absolutely nonsensical, over the top, blasé, idiotic, unbelievable, ridiculous, ludicrous, abnormal, bizarre, eccentric, gross, unexpected, unusual, weird movie is absolutely right!!! You can refer to it with any of the adjectives that I have called out but you cannot say that it is a bad movie by any stretch of imagination. Anyone who does refer to Revolver Rani as a bad movie is taking life way to seriously and is no familiar with exploitation movies.

Queen

The highlight of Queen to me was this sequence that is built up to quite brilliantly by 2^nd time director Vikas Bahl (Chillar Party). http://zoomtv.indiatimes.com/movies/hungama-ho-gaya-the-new-song-from-queen/videoshow/31110978.cms.  While watching the link may be a spoiler, I would still go ahead and take a look, if I were you to get a glimpse of what has been Kangana Ranaut’s moment of truth.

Rajjo

So Vishwas Patil is a debutante director.  Yet another one.  Sigh.  But 2 things make it worse.  The photograph of Shri Vishwas Patil doesn’t indicated in any manner that he is a day younger than 40.  And so the question pops up – has he directed, say Marathi cinema and this is a first in Bollywood? Which brings us to the 2^nd thing that makes it worse – here is yet another director who believes he can dish out anything and get away with it.

Krrish 3

Let me be honest at the very outset. I walked into Krish 3 expecting a disaster. In fact I was hoping that it would be a disaster. So much that I am beginning to believe in that dialogue from Om Shanti Om, "agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh poori kayanat usse tumse milani ki koshish mein lag jaati hai" (if u sincerely wish for something then the universe conspires to ensure that you get it).

Shootout at Wadala

Manohar Arjun Surve (John Abraham) scored 78% in his graduation exams in 1970.  At that point in time, it would have been stunning and would have put him at the top of his class.  But the Mumbai police had slightly different plans for the body builder from Dadar thanks to his involvement in a murder that his brother committed.
